i've still got it!
i had given up on finding any quality yarn in south korea . . .
and then i wandered down an alleyway yesterday
to look at wigs for halloween,
got lost on purpose,
and wound up in yarn heaven!
after getting past language barriers that led the folks in the store to think that i wanted to buy a knit hat and then figuring out the type of yarn i needed and discussing price, yadda yadda . . . the end result . . . voila!
my first hat.

You made that hat in one day?! And what do you mean "wandered down an alleyway."? Excuse me.....
yay knitting! i'll have to send you the pattern for this most wonderful pair of felted slippers that i'm working on right now. that is if they work out ok.
and you still haven't told me if you'll be there for christmas? if you want presents, you can't hold out on me like that :)
I wish I knew how to knit...
yeah, hats don't take very long. it took me about 6 hours, and that involved teaching myself to knit again, starting a few times with different yarn combos, and learning to use the new needles from my denise kit. i think i may become hat crazy these next few weeks. :)
and when i said wandered down an alley way, really what i meant was followed a clearly lit path with my russian security guard, boris.
Love it! I wish I could knit. You look so shabby chic...and that's a very good thing.
Very spiffy! :)
